Meet The Team
Emily Harrower
Emily started riding at the age of 2 on her Shetland pony, Siegfreid and quickly progressed to competiting successfully at local shows. Emily then moved onto Dolly, a 13.2hh connemara, with whom she had great success at Pony Club level in all disciplines. Fiddlestix arrived next and introduced Emily to British Eventing in 2002 where she qualified for the Intro Championships on their first outing! They also represented their local Pony Club at open level in both Showjumping and Horse Trials.
Emily bought her first horse in 2004, an ex-racehorse called Reine Marie, who has been very successful in British Dressage upto Elementary level, qualifying for the Area, U21, Scottish and Regional Championships in their first season and is now currently eventing.
This season, Emily has a small team of youngsters to work with as well as a recently purchased intermediate event horse that she is hoping to compete at a spring 3 day event in 2010.
Nick Harrower
Nick started out riding at the age of 2 on the shetland ponies. However in his teen years decided that it was better to have an engine and keep his feet on the ground! At Manorfields he is our handyman, competition groom and driver. Nick passed his HGV last November, only 2 weeks after his 21st birthday. He has Lily, a recently backed 4 year old that he is hoping to start riding and eventually have a go at eventing.
Susan Harrower
Susan has been involved with horses for over 35 years, both in a personal and professional capacity where she gained much experience backing, schooling, competing and working with problem horses. Susan has also worked for many years in admin and will be doing most of the office work and running of the yard. In 2003 Susan obtained a BSc in Biology and Environment with the Open University and last year passed her HGV. She is the one with the blonde hair!
